You have a reviewed edit and its original recordings. Now you need shorter campaign versions that can be checked against the source and finished in your NLE.
How Stringout solves this
01
Shorten videos in just a few clicks.
Start from the current cut, including a supported edit returned from your NLE. A connected assistant can propose separate 30-second and 15-second child cuts using its source ranges and other footage in the project. Each proposal preserves its parent, so you can review both lengths against the edit you approved.
Stringout’s on-device AI and transcription are free and unlimited. A connected assistant uses its own account and data handling for the transcripts, metadata or media it receives.

Two cutdown proposals from one current cut
Record the real project with a current cut and original sources, then show two named child cuts opened for review. The parent cut must remain available at the end; the sequence proves the versions are additive proposals.
- Open the current cut and inspect its source ranges.
- Create a 30-second child proposal from that cut.
- Create a separate 15-second child proposal.
- Open both children and the unchanged parent for comparison.
02
Restore parts of the edit from old timelines.
Find the spoken line in the transcript, then play the original recording around it. Check the delivery, setup and qualification that a short text selection could miss. Search for another answer or picture range when the first choice does not work, and make the editorial call before accepting the shorter cut.

03
Open any Stringout Project in an NLE.
Yes, when Stringout can read the supported project document you saved back to the project. That edit becomes a cut revision, so the next proposal can use the editor’s latest source choices and other available ranges rather than starting over from an older cut.
Review the returned revision and the new proposal before export. NLE finishing, including effects, graphics and final delivery, stays in the editing application. Some native timeline constructs cannot be read back as cut revisions, so check the project-file result before using it as the next starting point.
The result
Separate cuts for review and NLE finishing
Each shorter proposal is a child of the current cut, with the earlier version preserved. The editor can check its source choices, finish the selected version in the NLE, and use a supported returned edit as the basis for later notes.
